Legislative Day at the Capitol

The Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce hosts Legislative Day at the Capitol to give the local business community direct access to decision-makers shaping the economic and regulatory landscape of Texas. This annual event is designed to amplify the voice of Cedar Park’s businesses by facilitating high-impact conversations with elected officials, state agency leaders, and business policy influencers. It’s more than just a networking event—it’s a frontline opportunity to advocate for policies that promote a strong business climate, workforce development, infrastructure investment, and economic opportunity.

Each year, the agenda is carefully curated to provide strategic insights and meaningful engagement. Past agendas have included presentations and Q&A sessions with key figures such as the Texas Workforce Commission Chairman, the Governor’s Legislative Director, and executives from the Texas Association of Business. These speakers bring both legislative perspective and policy expertise, helping attendees understand how proposed or passed legislation will affect their businesses—and what they can do about it. The day also features dedicated time with elected officials who represent Cedar Park, ensuring that our community’s concerns are heard by those who hold the power to act.

Businesses should support this event because it directly ties advocacy to action. Whether it’s workforce challenges, tax policy, regulatory burdens, or infrastructure needs, the issues affecting local businesses don’t solve themselves—they require visibility, unity, and influence. Legislative Day is how the Cedar Park Chamber ensures that our members’ voices are not just heard, but taken seriously. By participating or sponsoring, your business demonstrates leadership, builds valuable relationships, and helps shape a pro-business future in Texas. Simply put: if you're not at the table, you're on the menu. Legislative Day helps us stay seated at the right table.
