There continues to be daily changes to our business community. We will continue to publish the most up-to-date information on our Facebook page and will have helpful links on our website during this time.

I gave you some information yesterday that mentioned we were waiting on Williamson County to get qualified for the SBA Disaster Loans. GOOD NEWS – the State of Texas has requested this on behalf of the entire state. We are waiting for the SBA to approve and give us the designation, but we should have that sometime today!

Once approved, be sure to go to the SBA Link to fill out the paperwork. It is also on the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) link to the left.

You can contact an SBA Certified Lender with one of the financial institutions below:

    American Bank – 512.306.5557 Frost Bank – 512.473.4858

    Horizon Bank – 512.482.6051 Prosperity Bank – 512.260.9199

    R Bank – 512.600.8113 Randolph Brooks FCU - 512.670.6954

    SouthStar Bank – 512.456.0035

The Office of the Texas Attorney General is ready to prosecute anybody seeking to take advantage of Texans by engaging in price gouging and disaster scams during this time. Under State Law, once the Governor issues a declaration, vendors are prohibited from charging exorbitant prices for necessities such as drinking water, food, batteries, medicine, lodging and more. Currently, the disaster declaration in effective across our entire state. If you believe you have encountered price gouging or disaster related scams, please file a complaint online at www.TexasAttorneyGeneral.gov/consumer-protection, or call toll-free at 8…621.0508.

There were a few updates coming from Williamson County yesterday.

    · All WILCO Offices Closed as of Noon March 19th.

    · Williamson Central Appraisal District suspends services inside office. Property notices have been postponed to April 14th. There are currently no provisions in the tax code to allow for reduced values for 2020 based on an event such as the current health crisis. For more information visit www.wcad.org or call 512.930.3787.

Beginning Tuesday, March 24, Monday through Friday breakfast and lunch food distribution will be available at one time. Students will be able to pick up a hot lunch and a breakfast meal for the next morning during this one-stop, drive-thru pick-up.

From 11:30am – 1:30pm, ANY student can visit one of the four locations to pick up their two meals. The locations are:

    · Bagdad Elementary School

    · Reed Elementary School

    · River Place Elementary School

    · Running Brushy Middle School

To receive food, LISD will not require proof of enrollment. TDA guidelines DO require a student to be present to pick-up food. For more information, visit the LISD Link to the left.
