Your 4-Star Accredited Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce has been participating with a coalition of Chambers from across the state. This coalition is looking out for the interests of your Business and our Community.

There will be a hearing this Thursday at the House Ways & Means Committee that is of particular concern to the business community. One of the items that will be discussed is changing our current taxing system from an Origin Based Tax Sourcing to a Destination Based Tax Sourcing.

This means you as the business owner will be responsible for determining which of the nearly 1,700 taxing entities you will have to report sales tax to.

Please consider either coming to the hearing to testify or sending in a statement opposing this change to House Public Comment.

As always, we continue to advocate on behalf of all businesses in the Cedar Park area, and I will be there to testify!
