Free Income Tax Preparation Service

United Way of Williamson County is committed to helping families become more financially stable and increase their assets. 

Our VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) sites in Georgetown, Hutto, Leander, and Taylor are making it easier for families to access quality tax preparation services at no cost.

VITA sites offer FREE tax help to people who earn $54,000 or less annually and need assistance in preparing their tax returns. Our clients often include minimum-wage earners, those who may be homeless, self-employed, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

In addition to informing clients about valuable tax credits for which they may be eligible, VITA sites provide a safe alternative to high-fee tax preparation services and predatory lenders offering expensive refund anticipation loans. VITA sites also help many working families access valuable tax credits such as Earned Income Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits.
