The diagnosis Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is ever-more common in the U.S., while in other countries it is rarely found. Could it be that a syndrome of behaviors is being called A.D.H.D. when it is really something else? Could it be that mild “A.D.H.D.” may include other problems that make the condition appear worse than it really is? And, what if the rare, pure A.D.H.D case were made even worse by a condition which was overlooked and which doesn’t respond to drugs.
